Nice Beetle!?!? What’s th e hidden message here? Does the D stand for destroyer of 911s? Just bullshitting? I don’t get it. Your guess is as good as mine. Go for it!
Quick reminder on German plates: The first l etter(s) are like an area code (M for Munich, B for Berlin, RÜG for the island of Rügen.... you get it ) the rest is either randomly assigned or you can pay like €20 to ask for special combinations like intitials and such, that’s how I got the “E 61" plate on my car. So it’s a local car, which I have seen twice now in the past months. This combo is a little too weird/specific to be random.

I once saw a 458 italia with “458-XXX” Mexico City plates. Personalized plates are illegal here, so one must assume the owner is a good friend of the transportation secretary.

Now if it was on a safari Porsche, “rugged 911" would be apropos.
de- can mean negation or reversal , so “not 911"?

Corruption aside, it at the very least made some sense.

I like the AMG GT, I just don’t like that it’s a 2 seater. I guess it’s more focused than the 911 (which has been shifting from sports car to GT for a while) I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surpised if the AMG
significantly faster round a track than a 911. Which means the owner wants to drag on that his car is faster?
Who knows, I’m not one for personalized plates if I’m honest.

Maybe he wanted to prevent the 911 plate from being taken by someone else? Or it’s Dave born on November 9th...

They could join the “351 BOSS” plate on a Tacoma and a “1933 PLY” plate on a 2006 Ram here. I’ve been tempted to get “LIKA911" for my Corvair.

LIKA911 makes sense and is easily understood among car guys, so why not?

The beauty of rear engine architecture. You can make a car with rear seats and a shorter wheelbase than your competitors . I think you’d have a big argument about tracks and specs in terms of which ones faster; not that I have first hand experience.
